Moto Halo Lite has been designed so you can fit the tracker yourself rather than arranging an engineer.
The device uses a two-wire connection to the vehicle battery. Connect it to the positive and negative battery terminals following the supplied instructions, then complete the digital setup through the Moto Halo app.
Install Lite using its two-wire battery connection.
Once the device has power, use the supplied QR code to begin the activation process.
Register your device and select your subscription through the Moto Halo app.
Once activation is complete, Lite is linked to your account and its connected tracking features become available through your phone.
No specialist installation equipment is normally required. Basic tools may be needed to access the battery depending on your vehicle.
Choosing a self-install tracker does not mean giving up real-time location tracking.
Moto Halo Lite uses real-time GPS to show your vehicle's location through the app. Tracker notifications keep you informed about activity, while Trip Start can notify you when a journey begins.
You can also view battery status and displayed voltage through the system. Battery disconnection detection provides a notification if the tracker's connection to the vehicle battery is lost.
When you want to look back at previous use, Lite provides full trip reports with maps and speed information, including maximum and average speeds.
Garage Mode is also available, with relevant notifications sent to your phone.
Moto Halo Lite is the straightforward choice if you want to install your own vehicle GPS tracker and manage its connected features through an app.
It is particularly suited to owners who do not need Thatcham approval or the professionally installed, monitored protection provided by S7 Pro.
If your insurer has specified a particular tracker standard, check that requirement before choosing Lite. Moto Halo Lite is not Thatcham approved.
Moto Halo S7 Pro is the alternative if you would rather have your tracker professionally and covertly fitted.
S7 Pro is Thatcham approved and connects to Moto Halo's 24/7 monitoring call centre. It also includes SMS and call security alerts, engine start detection and tow-away detection.
These features are not included with Moto Halo Lite.
